New Route 66 Passport Stop — Milo

Route 66

Oklahoma City, OK – April 9, 2025 – If you’ve taken a drive through Oklahoma City lately, you’ve probably spotted the iconic Historic Route 66 road signs stretching across the metro and beyond. What you might not know is that Oklahoma Tourism has created a Route 66 Passport program—highlighting stops along the Mother Road where roadtrippers can collect digital stamps as they go. As of 2025, Milo neighborhood kitchen and bar has officially joined that list.

A New Chapter on the Mother Road

Just outside Milo’s doors is Western Avenue, which closely follows Beltline 1931 of Historic Route 66. So whether you’re looking for a classic American road trip or just here to taste the flavors of Oklahoma, Milo brings together the spirit of Route 66 and Oklahoma’s culinary heritage in one place.

More than 400 miles of Route 66 stretch through Oklahoma. The Mother Road is dotted with roadside attractions, classic diners, and cultural landmarks, and the Oklahoma Passport features 66 carefully selected destinations. Each one offers travelers a glimpse into our state’s history and unique mid-southern charm. Some stops are rich in Americana, while others—like Milo—represent the evolving story of Oklahoma’s food and hospitality. (Travel OK)

Come for the Flavor, Leave with a Stamp

We’re honored to be a newly minted stamp site on the Route 66 Passport trail. Stop by Milo to grab a stamp, enjoy a craft cocktail, and stay for a menu that celebrates locally sourced ingredients and pays tribute to Oklahoma’s agricultural roots.

Located at 6201 North Western Avenue, Milo is adjacent to The Ellison, Oklahoma City, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Our name—and many of our dishes—are inspired by milo sorghum, a heritage grain and key Oklahoma export. With a team driven by passion, creativity, and a deep love for local flavor, we welcome guests to get a genuine taste of Oklahoma.

How to Use the Route 66 Passport

Ready for your passport? Simply download the TravelOK Trip Planner app from the App Store or Google Play. Each participating location has a unique code you can enter to check in digitally. The passport is broken into Eastern, Central (that’s where Milo is located), and Western sections. Complete one section to earn a Route 66 magnet. Once you complete all three, you’ll get a limited-edition Route 66 collectible coin to commemorate your journey.
